1. About these terms
These Terms of Service apply to your use of the Verdaq website (including all pages, forms and services accessible through verdaq.ai and related subdomains). Please read these terms carefully before using the site. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use the website.
2. Who we are
Verdaq is the provider of this website and the environmental credit platform described on it. For the purposes of these terms, "Verdaq", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the operator of the Verdaq platform. You can contact us at hello@verdaq.ai.
3. Use of the website
You may use the Verdaq website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Use the site in any way that breaches applicable local, national or international law
- Transmit or procure the sending of any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material
- Knowingly introduce viruses, trojans, worms or other harmful material
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected database
- Attack the site via a denial-of-service attack or distributed denial-of-service attack
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms.
4. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, software and data compilations — is the property of Verdaq or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute or republish any material from this site without our prior written consent.
The Verdaq name, logo and branding are trademarks of Verdaq. You may not use them without our express permission.
5. Accuracy of information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on the website is accurate and up to date. However, the site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Verdaq does not guarantee that the content is complete, accurate or free from errors, particularly where data reflects illustrative previews, pilot features or third-party information.
Market data, pricing and availability shown on the site (including any illustrative previews or dashboards) are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, investment or legal advice.
6. Procurement independence and no warranty
Verdaq is an infrastructure and information platform, not a broker, adviser or agent for either party in a transaction. We standardise and present information from suppliers, public registers and our own research to help you compare environmental credit options. We do not recommend, endorse, rank or warrant any particular supplier, credit, price, availability or procurement outcome.
Any contract, purchase or sale of environmental credits is concluded directly between you and the relevant supplier. You are responsible for your own due diligence, legal, financial, planning and technical assessment before entering into any transaction. Nothing on the platform constitutes legal, financial, investment or planning advice.
While we use reasonable efforts to verify information, we cannot guarantee that supplier listings, pricing, availability, unit metrics, planning status or other data are accurate, complete or current. You should confirm all material terms directly with the supplier and your professional advisers before relying on them.
The reports, shortlists and comparison documents generated through Verdaq are designed to help you document and evidence your procurement process. They do not replace your own professional judgment or your statutory obligations as a developer, planning authority, land manager or other user.
7. Third-party links and content
The website may contain links to third-party websites or resources. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control, endorse or accept responsibility for the content, privacy practices or availability of any third-party site.
8. Disclaimer of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Verdaq and its directors, employees, partners and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the website or its content.
This does not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. Pilot services
Verdaq is currently in a pilot phase. Features, data and functionality shown on the site may change, be withdrawn or be subject to delays. Pilot registration does not guarantee access to any specific feature, pricing or timeline. We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any aspect of the platform at any time without notice.
10. User submissions
When you submit information through our contact forms, pilot registration or other interactive features, you warrant that the information is accurate, not misleading and does not infringe any third-party rights. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store and process your submissions for the purposes of responding to your enquiry and operating the Verdaq platform.
If you submit an organisation logo for the pilot, you confirm that you have authority to let us display it and link it to the website you provide. Logo display is free for a maximum of three months from approval, subject to our review and discretion. We may decline, remove, restore, reorder or stop displaying a logo at any time. Display does not mean that Verdaq endorses the organisation, its services, its supply or any project. Any display after the free pilot period, including any paid placement, requires a separate written agreement; no charge is made automatically.
11. Privacy
Your use of the website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data.
12. Governing law
These Terms of Service and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms of Service at any time by updating this page. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
